Dawn's Early Light
Dawn's Early Light, oil painting with thick paint depicting the light breaking through at Dawn, with fields in the foreground

  • SOLD
Dawn's Early Light

It's not often that I'm up and out before sunrise, but on this occasion I caught the first light breaking through at Dawn. The light at the start and end of the day is always so fleeting, so I took some photos to use from my studio later.
I really enjoyed laying thick paint onto the canvas with a palette knife to depict the misty element of the clouds that made it so beautiful and glow in this way, plus one band of orange light against the clouds on the horizon.

Oil Painting on a 40x30cm canvas board, in a white wooden frame, READY TO HANG.
